Website relaunch for Nordeifel Tourismus GmbH
The customer
Nordeifel Tourismus GmbH
Problem definition
We already implemented the previous version of the Nordeifel Tourismus GmbH website in 2014. We were also able to support the desired relaunch and took over the conception and implementation of the new website. The existing corporate design as well as the conceptual basis from the customer’s tourism and marketing concept had to be taken into account. A modern design as well as an intuitive and visual navigation guidance along the customer journey were important.
The challenge
The compatibility of the customer's requirements with the latest technology, taking into account the corporate design and the tourism and marketing concept, challenged our team from the very beginning and made us grow daily. In addition, the abundance of content posed another challenge, which had to be prepared for the user in such a way that they could quickly and easily navigate to the desired destination at any time.
The implementation
In the kick-off meeting, our developed concepts for navigation and design were presented to the customer. Subsequently, the time schedule and the final design drafts were created taking into account the customer feedback. After these had been approved, the website was then launched step by step in a test environment. We also actively supported the customer with data maintenance, so that the bilingual website could go online successfully.
The result
The new website impresses customers and visitors in the Nordeifel area alike with its modern and appealing layout and the clear structure. As an Eifel company, we are happy to be able to support the region with our work.
Outlook
In the next step, we will train the customer in the area of SEO and provide long-term support in this area to help ensure that even more guests choose the Eifel as their next holiday destination.
The Ehrenamtcheck - A quiz for finding your volunteer type
The customer
Westdeutsche Lotterie GmbH & Co. OHG
Problem definition
WestLotto, as a state lottery oriented towards the common good, has set itself the goal of creating an online platform for social sponsors - sports clubs, social associations, etc. - to make it easier for people to become volunteers. This would take the form of a type-check, in which each person matches his/her interests and strengths to different areas of activity and subsequently obtains contact opportunities with organisations in which he/she can volunteer.
The challenge
Volunteering is an important component of German society. Therefore, it should be brought to the public's attention. Young people in particular should be sensitised and inspired to take on volunteer work, so that this pillar of society continues to be strengthened in the future.
The implementation
In a first workshop, the goals were defined and initial ideas for the type check were collected and evaluated. Afterwards, we went into the research to get an overview on volunteer work. To get a better impression of the target group, personas were created and the seven different types of volunteer work were defined and described in cooperation with the RWTH Aachen University and the Socialtechnical Innovation Thinking UG (SIT UG). In addition, 14 heroic figures were created based on the different types. The website was designed and implemented at the same time. In order to make sure that the type check is appealing and comprehensible, a field test was carried out in Aachen and all project steps carried out up to that point were summarised for the social sponsors in a detailed project brochure. As part of the application in print, online, social media and at events, short videos, print ads, flyers, life-size cardboard displays of the heroes, give-aways and more were then designed.
The result
Both WestLotto and the social sponsors are very impressed with the type check. More than 20,000 people have already taken part in the check since the end of January 2019. Therefore WestLotto submitted the project to the German Prize for Online Communication (DPOK) and it promptly won first place in the category "Public Affairs".
Outlook
A second campaign went online on 5th December 2019, on the Day of Volunteering, and further cooperation is planned for 2020 to support the topic in the long term.
Corporate Design for the ILN
The customer
Interessengemeinschaft Langstrecke Nürburgring e. V. (ILN)
Problem definition
Founded in 2018, the association represents the interests of the teams and drivers participating in the Endurance Racing Championship Nürburgring, the Nürburgring Rundstrecken Challenge and the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (Eifel). To underline its important position in motor sports at the Nürburgring, a corporate design was to be developed that would create a recognition factor among teams, drivers, sponsors and other interested parties.
The challenge
An essential part of the corporate design was to address different target groups in the B2B and B2C sectors equally and to balance the brand between sporty, high-quality and minimalism.
The implementation
In an initial discussion with the customer, it was determined what the corporate design should convey as a message and what values the brand should stand for. Based on this, we developed a logo that reflects motor sports and has a high-quality impact with its colour scheme. The next step was to design and implement the website to communicate all important information, events and news about the club. At the same time, letterheads and business cards were developed and printed as needed in the in-house print shop.
The result
With the help of the new corporate design, the association can now present itself to the outside world and thus better represent the interests of its members under one brand.
Outlook
Further merchandising articles are planned to strengthen the brand presence on and around the "Ring", to increase the reach and strengthen the positioning.
