Advertising brochures and more

The WEISS Group includes WEISS-Verlag, with offices in Monschau and Trier, and S-W Verlag in Mayen. The WEISS Group is an equal partner in S-W Verlag, together with Verlag für Anzeigenblätter, a subsidiary of Rhein-Zeitung. WEISS-Verlag, on the other hand, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the WEISS Group.
The publishing houses publish WochenSpiegel, a local weekly newspaper with a weekly circulation of over 600,000 copies, which is distributed in southern North Rhine-Westphalia and northern Rhineland-Palatinate. The print offering is supplemented by numerous magazines and special publications.
WochenSpiegel is also excellently positioned digitally: with the high-reach news portal wochenspiegellive.de and other digital offerings, the publishers offer comprehensive local media coverage – both in print and online.

The high relevance of advertising brochures

According to the Allensbacher Markt- und Werbeträgeranalyse (AWA) [Allensbach market and media analysis], adverts and supplements in advertising brochures such as the WochenSpiegel or WochenKurier are rated positively in the German-speaking world. An average of 73.7 % of the German-speaking population aged 14 and up reads the free weekly papers. The majority of these readers agree that advertising is simply part of the free weekly paper, that it is informative, useful, stimulating to buy, interesting, credible or entertaining. Advertising in advertising brochures works.
